Eomaia is a medtech start-up developing an innovative medical device capable of simplifying the donation of colostrum from mother to child in the hospital environment.
Colostrum is an infinitely precious immune concentrate for babies born prematurely. Often unable to be breastfed, only the manual expression of colostrum enables mothers to collect this “liquid gold” for their infant. However, many premature babies are unfortunately deprived of colostrum, which is often difficult to obtain manually.
Eomaia aims to facilitate the practice of manual expression of colostrum during the maternity stay by offering a simple, intuitive and minimalist tool capable of reducing the effort required by mothers and hospital staff.
